Positive change is an infectious condition, solidifying teams and building foundations for growth. Latinas United Republican Women Federated is kicking off the year with a campaign to compliment President Bush's "No Child Left Behind" educational program with a campaign called "Holding Their Hands Into the Future". "Holding Their Hands Into the Future" addresses the non-educational needs of elememtary school children. In total, LURWF is dedicated to bringing about the positive change that we would like to see in the world by being that positive change.

The Lodi Republican Women meet every third Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Woodbridge Golf & Country Club. Last year our club raised over $24,000. to go to the Freedom Alliance for children's scholarships whose military parents have been dismembered or lost their lives while protecting us in Iraq or Afghanistan. We look forward to a great 2007!

General meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month (excluding July and December) at the lovely Brookside Country Club in Stockton. We enjoy outstanding speakers from our party who educate and inform. Our club volunteers to elect Republican candidates who support family values, freedom, equality and justice. We have a scholarship program to support young people attending college. This is funded from our annual fundraisers and your generous gifts.

We have our monthly meetings at 4 Corners Restaurant, (the corner of Linne and Chrisman roads) on the 4th Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Speakers: Jan; Tony Amador, Feb, David Harmer, March, Elizabeth Emken, all who are candidates for District 11 Congressional seat. Also we will host our Annual April Tea on April 17th, from 3-5 p.m., main speaker will be Chuck DeVore, and Elizabeth Emken, and hopefully Carol Hadley will also be speaking. In August we will hold our annual Grill-n-Shoot at the Manteca Sportsman Club. It is a lot of fun to try your hand at Cowboy shoot, pistol, black powder, archery and more. Then we have a barbecue and a guest speaker. We are looking at having the candidate for District 11 or the candidate for Governor come to the event.
